Win Mod 70 Target Bases

I recently received a very nice Winchester 70 Target in 30-06. Been wanting one for many years and finally found one at an agreeable price.

I am having a fit finding bases for it. It's action is the Holland & Holland length. As I understand, there are at least 2, possibly 3, spacing for the rear base. My rifle has the .435" spacing. I ordered and received a Redfield base (part #51113) and the length is good, but the rear hole is not correct.

I see 2 other Redfield bases (#51114 & #51115) listed for this action, but am at a loss as to if they will fit as they have 2 screws in the front and one in the back.

As a note, Talley responded an email and gave the part number for their steel base. I have no concerns regarding Talley quality as I use them. Only thing is I want to have a more period correct look to the rifle.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have answered my own question.

I was not having a lot of luck with info regarding scope bases for post-64 (1967) Winchester Mod 70 Target.

However, I did find that this model has a .435" hole spacing for the rear base.

Since I saw this question posted on at least 2 forums, I want to share what does work.

My rifle's serial number is 844xxx.
