Fans???
Yes they did allow this year ,but ONLY blowing on the shooter NOT the barrel! F Class John made a comment about it specifically on one of the videos.Battery powered fans have not been allowed at any NRA sanctioned F- Class match I have attended. They were recently used at the V2 Finale because that is not an NRA sanctioned match.
Yes, I had called the NRA for a question and got an automated "leave a message, we'll get back to you".Keep dreaming. The committee meets once a year. In between, you get what you get from whoever answers the phone/email at the Tournament Competitions department.
Would you say that again? I can't hear you over the fans and muzzle brakes! If it wasnt for those noisey fans you wouldnt even need ear protection![]()

I can't even hear my Dewalt fan.Different type of fan, but the guys who show up with those little battery powered barrel coolers that have a high pitched whine, get a talkin to. Those things drive me crazy .
At most matches, the Match Director (MD) has a lot of discretion in making decisions. A few people at my home range use a fan for personal comfort, not to cool the barrel. When I'm helping or acting as the MD, I allow this too. However, if someone using a fan ties or sets a national record, it could create issues and lead to a disappointing outcome.Hey All,
I've been out of F Class shooting for a few years, but am looking to get back into it. I have looked all over this set and have yet to see a definite answer as to whether battery powered fans are allowed at F Class matches with the intentions of blowing across the barrel to help with barrel heat mirage? When I quit shooting, most everyone used a mirage shield but I wasn't sure if this was still the case or not?
Thanks

Short trip? Those things drive me crazy .
Can you wear a watch on the line? It's definitely an electronic device. What about an electronic timer. Might need to switch to one of these.
