9mm subsonic Titegroup

Looking for suggestions, 9mm subsonic using 115 bullets titegroup powder, shooting my 3" springfield armory subcompact, how many grains?need a starting point then I'll do some chronograph testing.

Why not use 147 gr bullets?
I guess I need to get other bullets, I just have alot of berry's 115 grain, didn't want to get different bullets but I think if im going subsonic 147s are the way to go,with the 147s how much powder?thanks

Going subsonic with 9mm is nothing, considering subsonic is 1125 fps and under. I guess it depends on how low you wanna go. I load 3.6.g Tightgruop w/125g coated giving me 1060fps out of a 4.6 in barrel, 1.100 OAL. Been a long time since I loaded 115’s, can’t remember what I used. 3.2g w/147g coated is what a couple of buddies use.

I’d start in the middle of your load data and work your way down, until your gun starts to have reliability issues. Then bump it up .2-.3g. That’s if you want to go as low as you can and still be reliable.

I use VV 3N37 5.0 grs with the 147 XTP.
If I remember correctly they average about 930-940 ish fps (I don't have my notes handy).

These are velocities from a 4” bbl; your 3” bbl may get you below the 1,125 FPS threshold without cycling issues with the 115 jacketed/plated bullets.

Using powder coated bullets as JT27’s Buddies do, you should have little to no problems using Hodgdon’s data here as well.

I shoot some 147gr subs but mostly Xtreme 165gr 9mm subs with 3.8gr N340 1.165" COAL 914fps. The 165's are stupid quiet and hit hard

In a 9mm pistol closer to 124grn bullet weight seems to be the go to weight. I am guessing that the heavier stuff would do better in a PCC where the longer barrel would shine. JMHO

124gr Seems to be the go to weight for subsonic 9mm??

I've been shooting 9mm subs in pistols, MP5's and AR9s for many years. This is the first I've ever heard anyone say 124gn was the go to weight for 9mm subs in any platform.

147gr has always been the recommended weight for 9mm subs.

The secret that not many people shoot is the 155-165gr. They hit like a 45 and are stupid quiet. That's out of glocks and P226 and P229 pistols, MP5's and AR9s

I did say pistol and you mention PCC's they are different . But I respect your background.

No I said ...pistols, MP5's and AR9s. I actually developed all my subs with my G19 and shoot the same load in all my 9mm's.

Lolol. You don't need to be butt hurt. It's OK.
I would like to open your horizon to 10mm. Personally 9mm is not my first choice as it is weak. I carry a 43x all day and a 19x in my go to belt. Not my favorite but easy. My shotgun vest carries a 10mm pistol. If I was you with all your knowledge I would look beyond the 9mm. 10mm is a devasting round compared to the 9mm so for me 9mm gets me to my 12ga and my 10mm.

I have 2 10mms. I shoot and load Montana Bullet Works 200gr Hardcast over Longshot at 1225 from my Dan Wesson Bruin and G40 Barsto barrel carried in a chest rig while fly fishing all over the country.

The OP didn't ask what is God's cartridge or anything about carrying. He asked about 9mm sub loads
