SOLD 1941A1 Springfield Sniper Rifle

In 2022, I purchased a 1934 1903 A1 Springfield rifle (SN 1473724) and had my local gunsmith mount a Hi-Lux Malcolm 8X (Gen II) Vintage Sniper Competition Scope with Malcolm 8X Vintage Sniper micrometer mounts. The scope and mounts are like new. The rifle barreled action and iron sights are in excellent condition with ME gauge reading of “0” (zero) and bore in excellent condition. The C-type stock has nicks and dings (as shown in photos), but no cracks, and has been refinished by a previous owner to the point that no cartouches are visible.

Accuracy at 200 yards is 1.10 MOA based on three, 3-shot groups measured on paper with the following load: 178gr ELD-M bullet in Lapua brass at 3.26” COAL; 48.3gr IMR4166; cci200 primer. I mostly shot the rifle at local, informal vintage sniper matches at 200 yards using SR-42 and MR-52 targets. I shot the rifle in the 2023 Talladega D-Day Vintage Sniper match (see photo) and scored 194-3X (5th highest individual score of 76 competitors). So the rifle is capable of excellent performance at 300 and 600 yards even with a 74-year-old shooter with only Expert NRA classification in mid-range prone shooting.

I’m thinning out my collection of seldom shot rifles.
$1975 includes shipment from my FFL holder to your FFL holder. Separate shipment of the scope included.
Thanks for looking.
