This NOS laminated stock for a Remington M700 long action.

The magazine/trigger guard is BDL.

The barrel channel is straight taper 1.300" to 1.250".

You will need some fitting although the fit is close.

The outside is finished smooth just needs finish or paint. I've even dipped these if that's your pleasure.

Bedding is suggested.

Who made the stock? any other details re maker etc?

This stock was from a line of stocks made for Brownells a few years ago. I don't remember the manufacturer at this point. I bought several of these for builds when I was doing lots of builds with M700 actions.

The outside of the stock is finished, very smooth so any finish will be great! Or as I suggested, it can be painted or even dipped as I have done both in the past.

There is a tiny bit of finishing for the barreled action. The recoil lug is most obvious. The barrel channel is big enough to take nearly every standard contour you might wish to use.

I suggest, as with most stocks today, use pillars and a top-of-the-line 2-part epoxy for bedding.
