Ability to load at the range

In post #8 I touched on how to use the preweighed vials of powder, these are use as a follow up to a preloaded test. Take extra prepped & primer brass and bullets. It’s pretty simple to funnel a vial of powder into a case and seat a bullet with an arbor press.
What funnel.are you using to get the powder into the vials? Thx

I load everything at the range...hunting stuff to BR guns. What you need to take is pretty simple and you can go from there. If you bring f.l. sized and primed cases, all you need is powder and a way to seat bullets. Weighed charges at home in vials is doable to a point. Or just bring a small tool box with the measure on it and a chart of the measure settings for a given charge weight of the different powders you want to try. Any little cheap-o press will work to seat bullets...I started with a Lee 'c' press for that task.

Once you start loading at the range, you'll wonder why you never did it before! :)

I have been gathering all from suggestions and things I felt like I needed. I don't want to use anything from the shop loading equipment. I wanted to try to keep from forgetting something by it being completely separate. Its been very busy at work but I hope to get to try next week.

I’m back, a little tired still but WTH.
I haven’t found the perfect funnel so I make a paper funnel just big enough to fit in the vial followed by another funnel to dump powder.
Kind funky but it works fine.

If you have a funnel set with screw on heads. This is what I came up with. .338 head. .223 case tapers perfect. Rock solid.

Exactly! I have a notebook with powder drop 'dope'. Everything I need is in either the ammo can or the tool bag. The cheapo scale is my 'reasonableness checker". Note the homemade ogive nut, loading block, and pre-primed brass. To wit:

My most important item for my field reloading is a home-made windproof box made of plywood and plexiglass to house my 10-10 or electronic scale out of the wind. Here shown with 10-10 that has floor slots for its 3-legs with room for a powder trickler. Doors each end allow left and right hand manipulations of scale/trickler. Left door has a sliding plexiglass door. Generally, throw a towel over right door when hand is inserted. Box is 3-legged for stability on the bench.
