Since the inception of this country, our schools, colleges, and even churches considered our constitution to be an incredible, beautifully written, and pretty much sacred document. And it is not so much a list of rules that WE have to follow, as a list of rights and freedoms that the government must protect and guarantee.
THEN, -- we quit teaching our own children about it, and training "constitutional lawyers" to interpret it in ways that disregard it and subvert it. It is to the point where probably 80% of folks under the age of forty probably can't accurately describe what our constitution is, when it was created, and for what purpose, let alone describe any of the Articles or Amendments.
THEN--- we have allowed millions of people to swarm across our border, who have no idea of our constitution or its purpose, or respect for it. They simply know that this country seems to be a big honey-pot where they can prosper, from either hard work or hand-outs. They can't be expected to respect a 200+ year old document any more than our home grown mis-educated idiots do.
Once an infringement takes place - like the suppressor thing, it is incredibly difficult to re-gain that lost ground. We need to remember that as the important thing and prevent it in all respects.
To quote a great song by a bunch of "60's" libtards,
"Teach your children well" jd
