Anyone used the wipe-out brushless bore cleaner? Pros and cons?

I like it and so I use it a lot. Only problem I see is when you squirt it into the barrel it gets back up into the action so much it is a mess to clean out. Just last night in a 223 bolt gun I got a better idea. I stick the red straw into the action and into the lower end of the barrel then insert a 410 mop into the rear of the action and into the chamber till it fills the chamber tight around the straw as well squirt the can till you get foam out the end of the barrel. Then wait a few seconds for the foam to expand fully and pull the mop and red straw out bingo no more blowing back and filling the action with foam. It worked for me hope it helps others as well

Only problem I see is when you squirt it into the barrel it gets back up into the action so much it is a mess to clean out.

Leave a bore guide in and inject from the muzzle. 2 quick shots and it’ll just peek out of the guide.

Picked up on this from Speedie's cleaning video. I use the liquid and accelerator with nylon brush and then patches. Works 100%. Sometime an overnight soak...but never need metal brushes now.

I used it a lot several years ago but it was just too messy.

It's all I use. I wet patch twice to get the loose stuff out. Then use the Accelorator with it on a very wet 3rd patch. Leave it sit a few hours, or overnight, then dry patch it out.

I had Speedy cut me a new chamber on my .223. He looked at the barrel while I was there to insure it was worth doing. Then he asked how many rds?
I said 1200. Then he asked about my cleaning routine. He said my barrel looked like new.

How do you plug your barrel and action when you use the wipe out foaming cleaner??

Forum Boss: Flared foam H. Leight Max earplug goes in muzzle. Cleaning rod guide with rubber o-rings goes in chamber with patch stuffed in Bore guide tail. I transport in AirGlide case which has chamber higher than muzzle so any leak goes forward down and out muzzle -- at most a drop or two.

I leave a bore guide in place, foam from the muzzle end. A rolled patch to plug the muzzle.

I also use a delrin bore guide, but I do it a tad differently. I counter-bored the non-chamber end a sort way with a 3/8" bit. That was the same as the OD of the plastic tubing for the can. It fits very snug in the counter-bored hole, so I insert that assembly into the chamber, spray til I get foam out of the muzzle, and leave it at that. No leakage past the bore guide, and if I need to add more, just push the button.

T he foam and the liquid both work very well. Just follow directions on each one's label. You will come to like either or both, each has a good place on your bench for cleaning your firearms and bores.
