Couple 22's and Mom's Mauser

Please help me see what I’m not capable of detecting.
There's the appearance of a figure standing over a figure kneeling standing figure holding a smoking gun, kneeling is reaching out.
Just to the right of red line is another figure with rifle slung over shoulder.
When you see it

Moms mauser, not my mom but @Lee in Texas beautiful piece of quilted maple in my rootbeer dye.
This is a true Texas truck gun chambered in 6x47 Lapua.
Lee said he couldn't believe it was his...
I politely informed him it wasn't it was mom's but I'm sure she'll let you shoot it. LolView attachment 1576807View attachment 1576808View attachment 1576809View attachment 1576810View attachment 1576811View attachment 1576812
Gee whiz Brett! Quilted maple, quite possibly my favorite kind of wood. Excuse me while I go take a very long and very cold shower o_O

It's definitely a favorite of mine, and only the 2nd quilted maple I've ever done.20240625_001005.jpg
While I was up at Skaggs getting set up to do the butt pad I asked about a few stocks he has on the rack.
Here's a couple shots of a another Mauser stock in quilted maple. I'm trying to convince him to build it out20240710_091558.jpg20240710_091550.jpg
Mark has been building guns going on 3 decades and has acquired quite a collection of cool stuff.
The 280ai I acquired was built by him, boy is it a shooter.
A couple beautiful walnut stocks for Mauser's just hanging out waiting for his expertise. 20240710_091704.jpg20240710_091714.jpg20240710_091723.jpg
Laying next to the 2 barrels on the bench is another Mauser waiting to be done.

Oh dang. That would be perfect for my 6.5x68 project. Do you know what he wants for it? I gotta get in touch with about that.

Couple 2500x stocks for @Paul Beel the
Cherry Rotex was built by Zack Donovant of Old Dominion Custom Rifles. Copper Orange & Vintage Amber dyes were used followed with Rootbeer candy cut in half with yellow candythe McMillan edge was one of those projects I could do no wrong.
Major repairs were done to give it new life GM's Tropical Turquoise with a healthy dose of Glasurits sparkle blue pearl.View attachment 1576801View attachment 1576802View attachment 1576804View attachment 1576805View attachment 1576806
Gimme a minute....
Both are stellar, that blue really catches my eye, that Glaurite is some pricey paint!

Thank you, you cat see it in pictures but the highs really reflect the pearl while the lows look like Tropical Turquoise.
Actually Glasurit is the only complete paint system I know of where ALL thier toners are the same $$ per ounce across the board.
Specialty pearls excluded, remember performance comes at a price.
Coupe shots of stock and my sprayouts20240724_122315.jpgGlasurit sparkle blue on left, old school Murano blue pearl on right20240724_122237.jpg20240724_143909.jpg20240724_143843.jpg

I became familiar with Glasurit years ago when I took the dive into BMW's, noticeable difference between the 2 blues!

Paul brought the stocks over last night. I saw the McMillan before he sent it to you. Please tell me that isn’t the same stock. Absolutely amazing. You’re a mad genius.
