BAT Action 3L Bolt Question

Running a BAT 3L action on my 6PPC.
The bolt has decided to disassemble itself several times.
The whole shroud and firing pin assembly just comes out of the bolt.
It has happened just handling the bolt before putting it in the rifle.
Happened a couple times cycling the action.
Goes back together easily with the bolt tool.
I am just a bit stumped why it keeps happening.
I think BAT has discontinued this action, so not sure parts are available.
I did reach out to them by email today. Hope to hear something soon, but just in case thought I would ask here.
Suggestions?

I agree with ShtrRdy. There is a small notch in the bolt body that the cocking piece bearing sits in, in the bolt open position. This notch is sometimes reworked to be very shallow to help with smooth operation. If it’s not deep enough, it can cause the problems you’re describing. A call to BAT and they will still be able to help you even though they’re not offering the 3L.

On some of my personal guns I didnt even have a detent so some of this handling error. But a deeper detent will help. Do it in a mill and dial it in. If its even slighly off its gonna drag when you run the bolt

^^^^^^^^
plus a lot on this. That little detent has to be in an exact position as it positions the cocking piece for smooth entrance into the action’s trigger slot. if it’s a little off, it can be a source of aggravation.

Don’t ask me how I know this:)

Been a busy few days. Just getting the pics of the bolt.
