Why is my 7mmWSM faster than 7mmPRC

Because you hold your lips right when shooting. Sometimes ballistics cam be magical. If they both produce good groups a little difference in speed is something to live with. I shoot three different 222s and they all have different speeds withe same load.
 
bigger case more powder when all things are equal the bigger case winds. you don't need rocket ship to shoot a animal at 600 yds . and if you steel 2950 fps is exhalent .
and you can dial to where you need to go .
 
Okay, I confess I'm shooting out of a 26"Brux bbl. Other shooters on YouTube also have 26"bbls. 66grs of H1000 pushes an 184gr Berger Hybrid at just about 3,000 FPS. I don't own a 7mmPRC

I couldn’t agree more about the cartridge being very underwhelming. I’ll stick to a 7 mag with .188” of freebore. There is so much hype on the 7 PRC that the several I have built for friends have all yielded less than desirable w
