Where do yall get your small screws from? McMaster Carr had what I needed but they want you to create an account. Im just looking for easy in easy out and a web sight thats easy to navigate. Thanks in advance. E

Maybe I just have a warehouse in town but shipping from McMaster has never bothered me. Just checked and it is typically 9-14% of the product price, so I never minded it or even noticed before what it was.

There used to be an option to check out as a guest without creating an account. That said, you have already provided a lot of personal information to complete the order and creating an account is typically just establishing a user ID/password.

My local Ace Hardware has a very fine selection of screws, bolts, etc. in the hardware dept.

I use McMaster Carr but, I do have an account with Bolt Depot
when I need quantity. Fastenal is 10 minutes away from me but
prices are a bit over board. Lowes and Home Depot will sometimes
have the odd bolt or spring I need, and they are close by.

Local Ace hardware has a gunsmith screw assortment. Ironically it's from Brownells

I spend a few thousand dollars a year there. Good luck with 9-14% on a box of small screws unless the screws are ridiculously expensive. I agree with you when I order several items at once though.

Grainger is also a choice, you can pick up from a local place. But I like McMaster and MSC (for everything else) because I always get stuff the next day.

I do too and McMaster is typically cheaper as well as faster.

McMaster sure has changed their shipping policies. I recently ordered a pack of 6 springs, small enough to fit in your shirt pocket, and cost over 9 bucks for shipping. More than the springs.

My local Ace Hardware even carries gun screws and gun specific taps such as 6-48 etc. As well as powder, bullets, reloading and all related stuff.

McMaster still beats everyone else for shipping weird stuff IME. Obscure fasteners or springs I sometimes buy on say eBay. Zoro et al have weird stock but often charge Five Times the product price in shipping. If you need it you need it but it is annoying.

Shipping is never "free" and the costs associated have escalated. They can no longer hide it in the cost of the products.

How about the taxes?

Mcmaster-Carr will have top quality screws. Amazon stuff, not so much.
SAE and ANSI numbered size socket head caps are all supposed to be grade 8 minimum. The offshore ones often aren't made to that standard.
