Alliant 2000 MR load for 22 Creedmor Varmint

Hello all ..
I am in the process of working up some loads for a new 22 Creedmor for coyotes
I have some superormance on hand and W760

I saw an 8lb jug at my local shop for $300 of Alliant 2000 MR and was wondering if anybody has
any experience with 22 CReed with that powder ?

I'll be loading Sierra 69 TMK and Hornady 75 GR Amax also have Hornady 60 GR Vmax
I'm itching to buy that jug ...I also load for 6.5 Creed for yotes
TY

If you buy that jug, it may be the last you see of it for quite some time, if ever.
Alliant has cancelled their orders due to their supplier running into issues getting nitrocellulose.

Might want to check into getting a bottle of Vihtavouri instead.
They make their own nitrocellulose, so don't have the supply issues that others are running into.

I've only used 2000 MR in 223 and 223AI. I never got a chance to chrono it but the groups were some of the best I have ever shot in those calibers.

This was during the 2013 panic, when I was testing it in case my stash of H4895 ran out.

Seems on fast side for that round imo, seems to like h4350 range and slower for the heavier bullets but alliant shows loads in the 223 wssm which has abit more case capacity. So it might work

Sierra VI has loads for 2000MR in the 22-250 Ackley, which is very similar in case capacity, for up to 80 gr bullets. I tried it in mine with 53s & it wasn't very wonderful. Maybe it works better with heavier bullets?

Agreed,,,I'm kinda hesitant as I have 2 Aero 30L Lahar Cans going to arrive any day now and I have to pony up the $$ and tax stamp money for them .....its wearing on me

Yeah it's certainly marketed for heavy bullets , that's where it shines ....slow burning
supposed to be exceptional in 223 with heavies as well

If there’s 16 lbs for $300 a jug it would be a no brainer for me!… that’s over 2500 rounds of ammo just doing simple math in my head. By the time you burn through it you will need a new barrel anyways.

No it's 300 per 8lb jug ...2 jugs on the floor ....gonna be 600 and tax

I feel that while you may get a consistent load with the PP2000MR, velocity will definitely not be something to write home about.

Overbore cartridges seem to like slower burning powders.

PP2000MR works well with my wife's 223 Rem and the 69gr SMK & 70gr Nosler RDF.
Also 7mm-08AI with 140gr bullets.

Even heavier bullets in the 7mm-08AI like a slower burning powder.

My 7-08 loves it with both 140 accubonds and 168 smk’s velocity isn’t stunning but accuracy is and to me that’s king!…. 20 moa rail and a nightforce scope I can hit just about anything I want to.
