You bet there is! And we will never find out about what really caused it.Glad he’s okay. There’s got to be more to the story than just the 4831 being bad.
I was thinking more like flake powders Unique, 700 X etc..pepper sounds like h110 that would do it. Glad he,s ok!
Im not surprised at all by Vortex customer / warranty service They are among the best in the businessSounds like he's lucky to be alive. I'm amazed Vortex covered the scope. They have great warranties.
if that is a Sako receiver, good indication of old Sako receiver strength??Amazing how that receiver split at the rear bridge! Pure luck that the bolt stayed in place. Your friend is very lucky to limp away from this bomb. Maybe time for a refresher course in basic reloading skills. Or quite while he is ahead.
Jip, A series or was one at leastif that is a Sako receiver, good indication of old Sako receiver strength??
Dang, I don't know how I missed that. jdScientific Wild Assed Guess
Actually the lugs.Actually the bolt did it's job. was still in place after the explosion. Yes it was a Sako action.
I’ve got 4831 sc i used in my 6.5 x 284 cooper varminter that real old but no problems. I know a guy who got his hands in some WW 2 machine gun powder and shot it no problems. Mostly how it’s stored.Actually the lugs.
How about that stitching? Where?
