Bore cleaner

wipeout let set overnight for copper, as directed. If your patch comes out purple, you still have copper.
If you have copper you have carbon - elbowgreece and thouroughcleen for carbon. In that order.
get a borescope - $50.
Most important - get some popcorn to go w this post.

I like and use KG 12 copper remover for quick removal. I use Bore Tec carbon solvent and Bore Tec copper solvent to check after using KG 12. Bore Tec will show up blue patches if any copper is still in the barrel whereas KG 12 does not. There are many good solvent out there. It is basically a Ford /Chevy/ Dodge debate.

Whatever is for sale at your local gun shop. I've used almost everything and don't see much difference in any of it. If you just want to clean a little fouling out of your barrel most will work well. If you want to get hard carbon out then you'll probably need to go with some kind of abrasive cleaner, which I wouldn't recommend as a regular routine. A staple in almost everybody's cleaning room is Hoppes #9 like it or not.

Montana Extreme Copper killer is what I use, a step down is Witches Brew, another step down is shooters choice.

What ever you do, buy a teslong bore scope, you can judge for yourself how a particular solvent works for you. Bore scope verification is exponentially better than examining patches!

If you have a rough bore, JB and JB Bore bright should be on your short list of things to purchase. I like to clean and get it over with, and prefer no over night soaking kinda deal. With life being what it is, over night soaking may turn into a next week kind of soaking with me forgetting about the whole affair.

Over the years I've used Hoppes, Hoppes BR, Sweets, Barnes CR10 and lastly Boretech Eliminater. Boretech is probably 80% as aggressive as CR10 and Sweets but has a pleasant very faint smell and you leave it overnight. Great stuff!

What’s the best bore cleaner that not too toxic?
I am far from an expert, but most cleaners will work pretty good if you let it sit in the barrel for a few hours. tilt it muzzle down and leave a piece of fabric in the muzzle. and something under the muzzle to catch the excess if it drips out. and a bore guide is very important.
