What brand bushings do you use? The one I have is an uncoated redding. It's what came in the used wilson die when I bought it.Definitely need to be able to look at neck tension with more than one bushing once you have the powder and seat depth figured out if the groups are not where you think they should be. Annealing may be of help as well. I never anneal so I could not be of any help there.

My fired brass is measuring right at .270I use both Redding and Wilson.
Should measure from the loaded neck diameter to figure out bushing size. Good place to start would be .003 below loaded neck diameter and work from there up or down to find the happy spot for the load.My fired brass is measuring right at .270
They are measuring at .2685" loaded.Should measure from the loaded neck diameter to figure out bushing size. Good place to start would be .003 below loaded neck diameter and work from there up or down to find the happy spot for the load.
O K start with .265 and see how it works. Be good to have .264 .265 .266 bushings on hand. They are measuring at .2685" loaded.
Very interesting.Bushing test 5-shot groups with my 30BR from a couple years ago just getting started with it.

My wife just picked up a pound of n540 for me to try and she found some fed gold match primers also! I have never used the vit
Your wife sounds like mine. She loves going into the shop (we need a licence over here) and the funny looks she gets when asking for very specific reloading components! I think 99% of the customers are male.My wife just picked up a pound of n540 for me to try and she found some fed gold match primers also! I have never used the vit powders.
Yea, that dog will hunt no doubt.Well, I loaded up a few rounds with the n540. I had 15 bullets left so I loaded 5 weights .2 apart with 3 rounds each. Only shooting 3 round groups almost felt like cheating lol but I managed this group. Now I think it's time to load up a bunch and go shoot some chucks or squirrels or steel lol.
What ya think?
