Dandy powder trickler

Mine works great. The 2 speeds were well thought out. The height is easily adjusted. I use mine over a beam scale run through a laptop with a webcam looking at the pointer, throwing the initial charge out of one of my throwers ( I kind of "collect" those )..........ANYWAY..........Easy to use & very precise.

Regards
Rick

Bill,
I love mine, I have three of them! 2 of them are the std 2 speed the third is setup up for a beam scale to automatically shut off when you Rach your weight, I haven’t ever used it but someday I’ll set it up. One I have setup up on my GD503 for competition rounds the other is on a chargemaster for most hunting and goofing off rounds. Someday I’ll buy a ingenuity and be done with them maybe.

I also have one of those with the electric eye that works with a beam scale. It took a little practice to set up and use, but I could get pretty consistent if I was loading a bunch of the same load. It wasn’t worth messing with if I was doing a load work up because once I got it running consistently, it is time to change the load.

Like others above, I'm very happy with mine. Different powders; ball, extruded, flake etc. take a different setting on the weight. Moving the weight changes the rate at which the trickler dispenses powder. A buddy said that the newer ones with replaceable hoppers may leak with fine ball powders. Admittedly, this is anecdotal. I have no such issue with mine since it's an older one with a one piece hopper. I will say that it sure beats twiddling the stem of a manual trickler. I waited too long to buy the Dandy Trickler.

Really like it. When I started loading 17 Hornet, I had to upgrade my powder measuring equipment. Now I use a RCBS Chargemaster and throw to .1 grain lower, and then move to A&D scale, trickle up to .005 accuracy with the Dandy Trickler. Excellent for accuracy on a budget.
