Now that's some great news!! Let Freedom Ring!! I'm super exited this has happened. Go Red White & Blue.HERE IT IS
It is with great pleasure to announce that Freedom Benchrest has Partnered with The U.B.R. to provide a Short range score program to our clubs and shooters.
Many of you ask if Freedom was going to do a short range program and at first we did not have any plans to do so but after several request and talks with many of you we decided to talk with U.B.R. founder Danny Hensley after working out the details with Danny and him talking with his group we came to a agreement to form a partnership. Many of you will ask what will change with the UBR answer is nothing for 2024 this program we feel needs very little change as it is growing every year. Danny will still be the contact and doing all the things Danny does and does them well. In the future we have talked about using the Freedom platform of no Membership, Range or Target fees Danny also shows interest in involving his match directors in the rules process all of what we plan to do in 2025. We will be announcing sponsorship opportunities soon as we work with Danny Hensley and Ronnie Milford on getting all these details worked out. Freedom will keep its Long-Range Program completely different from the UBR short range program as each has different needs and opportunities.
Its Freedom and UBR’s goal to continue growing the sport of benchrest shooting.
Soon there will be a link from Freedom’s web page that will take you to the Ultimatebenchrest.com web page.
We want to Thank Everyone that has helped with this project and we look forward to the future as with all things like this it takes time to change and grow and both groups are growing at a fast pace so please work with us as we work out some of the details as far as membership and other needs that will arise. Feel Free to contact any of the Freedom advisers or Mr. Hensley if you have any questions.

Thank You All
Freedom Benchrest and UBR Staffs,
CaptainMal It could happen.Gets me to thinking about all the short-range benchrest competition that used to be held at Manatee. Back 15-20 years ago I covered the shoots with pictures and articles for the club newsletter. A few current 600 shooters there sure remember the fun back then.
Could it happen again? That range, with backstop, is now the current 600 range.
dear sirThe devil is in the details. Are there changes different than the current rules of NBRSA and IBS for Score. Matches take way too long, many clubs don't have facilities for loading at the range, the cost of equipment that complies with existing rules is too expensive, and what about a factory class. Solve those problems and you could have new matches at many Clubs springing up like weeds.
