So going to build my tikka t3 action but can't decide if i want it stainless action and barrel with a black or green stock
Or
Coat have it cerakote mat black

I'd like a manners MCS-EH1TK with there mini chassis and ai mag . Only thing I don't like is there texture thay put on the stock at the hand grip .

Other stock I really like is the bell and Carlson m40 but all it accepts is the factory bottom metal and mag

Anyone have some pics of a build like this thay share for some ideas .?

If it were me, the path I would go depends on how fast you want it done.

Fast path: B&C with the finish you have already. You would be shooting it within a week or two.

Slow path: manners and the cerakote.

Or both paths. Get the B&C and shoot it for the X to 12 months while waiting for the manners. Then when you get the manners send the whole thing in to have the finish and the stock grip taken care of. Resale value on the Tikka B&C should be fine and easy to get a buyer.

If AI mags is a cosmetic thing for you, id say go for it. However, if you are in the fence, I have used the Tikka mags for years and never once wished the system was different.

Here is my Tikka in a B&C M40. Great stock and functionality amazing. But, with my setup at least, nothing amazing to look at. However, I'm not into looks with my rifles unless it's a walnut stock.

Thinking about getting the wife a tikka varmint in 223 and dropping it in one of these stocks .
I have a tikka action here in 308 but it's 1k just to rebarrel it

That's a 24inch in a Bartlein 3b-ish profile. Plenty more room in the stock for bigger profiles. For the tikka's if you can get the barrel off yourself, or pay someone $50 bucks like I did to take it off, you can use tikka prefits. Someplace do shouldered prefits, some do barrel nut prefits. Or just send the barreled action and the bolt to Douglas barrels, I think it was around $650 total for them to rebarrel. They timing is usually a month or less.

I have two Tikka T3s set up for hunting. One is a 6.5 SAUM in a B&C and the other a 284 in a McMillan. Both stocks/rifles are great!! I found the McMillan in stock on the website so I avoided the long wait.

I also faced the receiver, put a tombstone style lug on them and then ran a 1.200" barrel on mine. That's not necessary though.Tikkas.jpg

Its an investment for sure. With a barrel blank, chamber and muzzle threads it should be right about that price......

What is the headspace for a Tikka t3?
