M-40 clone pics with greenie scope

So , like some others here I got the bug to built a Vietnam era M40 clone for vintage sniper match competition. I wanted to make it as period correct as possible but a real deal scope is by no means in my meager budget. I picked up a 3x9x40 Redfield and went to work. Its by no means a perfect match but definitely a 20 footer. I am pretty happy with the effort overall. Now I need to put it back together. Special thanks to a member here who helped out by providing vintage scope repair info ;)

What kind of scope base and rings were used during that time?
Something like this Windage adjustable Redfield with low 4 screw rings There are nuances to the originals that I am not completely familiar with but this is the addictive idea
