Bushing & headspace?

I may send out my bolt for trying and bushing. If I do, will I have to reset the headspace?

Yes. but what if the boldface is cut true?

I've had it done on several rifles and the subject of "headspace" has never come up.

The headspace will change by whatever the amount of metal that is removed. That is normally less than the go-no go tolerance.

I will remove enough to true the boltface and make the bushing invisible. Usually .001-.002. WH

My headspace is currently .002, so I'd be OK. But I'd rather keep it there. Easy enough to reset it....Savage.
