To be fair, at least you received the product. You can fix it. I spent months waiting on a part that hadn't been made. I told them to kill the order and they told me I'd need to pay a restocking fee. I said, if you have it in stock....send it!.....they didn't.

After PTG screwed up 3 orders in a row and the ladies in the office were very snotty on the phone, I gave up and started getting my stuff from JGS.

JGS is the best in the business in my not so humble opinion. They are always willing to take the time to make sure what you get is exactly what you wanted.

last year i had the bolt handle fall off a ptg bolt that wasnt very old. i suppose it was supposedly under warranty but i didnt bother sending it back to them. afterall i wanted to get it back in my lifetime and i wanted it secure.
It is saddening to see a company slide like this. The thing is, you could see it coming. WH

I don't know, But Kiff is working on adding new products to his lineup, When he should be focusing on taking care of his backlogs.
If you watch his Shot Show video from last year he is talking about the new stuff he's bringing out, His face is all sunk in and he don't look good.

Yeah. It's a shame... They have a lot of interesting things I'd like to have but wont take the risk.

Spoke with my customer. He's aware of the problem dealing with PT&G. M-16 extractor time.
Will none of this is new. I quit them 10 years ago for the same reasons mentioned now.

Of little assurance, but I only buy things from them in stock and ready to go. I was fortunate to get my 260AI reamer from them in less than 2 weeks, and to print, but am fully aware of their reputation.
As someone who just spent an hour digging play-doe out of an action after a bed job, I find this very interesting.

Interestingly, some of my favorite reamers are PTG. Man, they cut nice.
There comes a point in the life of every company, when the decision has to be made to concentrate on the product and customer base that got you there, or expand manufacturing, marketing, and sales at the expense of that base. PTG chose the latter. I spoke with Dave several times, on the phone, previous to this, and I enjoyed the talks. Interestingly enough, I spoke with Dave about a reamer issue when he was with JGS too. Also a pleasant, if somewhat frustrating, chat. Gosh, that has to be close to 35 years ago? WH

I do believe in Captain Crunch.
I have come to this same conclusion, except from a consumer point of view.
Make a decision to support a company with goals and values that I agree with, no matter if it costs me 10% more. The only power I have is 1) my voice and 2) the dollars in my wallet. I probably do not use #1 as much as I should, but I always use #2. My money is the way I vote and support businesses I'm proud of.

CTD = cheaper than dirt.
During the pre 2016 panic. Those two places were some of the worst offenders of price gouging on 22LR, 556 ammo, and magazines... all those items that were not to be found pretty much due to hoarding. It was disgusting. I don't want to get into a big debate about it, but it was gouging in the true definition of the term not just 'what the market can bear'. They will never see a cent of my money.
