Looking for a Needle?! FOUND A COUPLE

Many years ago, like maybe mid 90's, I bought a block called a sorting block for 22LR. Pretty sure it came from Sinclair (when it was really Sinclair). Now, I would like another and have been unable to find one. Oh I can find lots of 3-D stuff out there that will accept a Lapua, Eley or SK tray but I want one just like I have. Here's a pic:

Any idea where it may be found these days?

Never heard of a .22 sorting block....was it a "loading" block? If you can't find one, it appears to be a 3/4" thick block of high density plastic with the hole pattern drilled on a mill.

Many years ago??! The 90’s ??! Why that was just the other day…………

That load block is probably in a museum or antique store and referred to as “vintage”.

Do you reload 22LR?
It was called a sorting block when I bought it.
You are correct and a very good friend is making me one now.

I have this, it’s not Sinclair. It’s MTM you are welcome to. It is kinda Sinclair red though. Same color as my Sinclair priming tool boxes.

The Brownells website shows 238 Sinclair International products. My estimate is that 85% of those are either completely out of stock or products with only "select" pieces ion stock.

I sure do miss Sinclair. Back in 1999 I went to trade show in Indy. After 2 days of trade show on the 3rd day I drove over to Ft. Wayne to visit Sinclair. They treated me like a king. I spent way too much but what a great day trip that was.

Boy it’s all different now.

So, assuming you use match ammo, you pay top dollar and then screw up that important lube transferring it to that block? FWIW get a podium.

No, I don’t reload .22s. One can do it, but in my view it’s a novelty fad.

Back to the topic….Prone and 3-p competitors call that a loading block, which is one way to keep track of the number of rounds fired into each bull on a multi-bull target.

Brownells relabeled it for use with those who chase the theory of sorting ammo for better performance. Thus, “sorting block”.

I know a guy that sent him one…
