500 yard coyote, need a 1/2 ish moa consistent. You will need to utilize a load development plan, best practices approach to (possibly) get to that. You will learn from your endeavor, at the least.
Thanks I will definitely give it a try when I get a chance. I haven’t been able to find any of the reloader powders locally unfortunately and to pay for shipping up here in Canada is usually pretty brutal so I’m kinda stuck to hogdon and imr.The .243's I have (and have had) shot best with bullets in the 80'ish grain range when using IMR 4064. None of them like the heavy bullets when it came to absolute accuracy (all 1-10" factory barrels). When you get those 87 Bergers, try them with your IMR 4064 powder. I did a lot of load testing on all my rifles and don't worry about getting 2" groups. That is not uncommon when your rig doesn't like it. For varmint shooting, a few loads my rifles all liked (and those of my friends) was with RL 15 powder, shooting 58 V-Max. N-140 did well with that bullet too, but the RL 15 was crazy accurate compared to other powders tried. It wasn't till I had one rifle for 15 years that I tried that powder. Previously - I didn't think it was capable of what it did with that powder. Just need to find what yours likes. For example, Varget has a burn rate not too far from RL15 but gave 2" groups. Reloader 19 with Barnes 62 Varmint Grenades was pretty good. Those "medium burn" powders like 4064 and Reloader 15 are best with the mid-weight bullets the .243's seem to favor.
Yeah - seems a lot of the "R" powders are hard to get here too. You may find magic with that 4064 and the Bergers. Thanks I will definitely give it a try when I get a chance.
