RWS doing what Nosler and others say they can't do?

RWS is saying they are discontinuing the H-mantel and going with the Speed Tip Professional bullet now, limited caliber releases for now. It is a boat tail, it is partitioned, and it has a poly point. Not saying anything about the BC/SD on them yet, have an e-mail in to inquire about that.
Does make a person wonder, H-mantel has been around in various configurations since 1934, can't see them changing like that if it doesn't work the way they say, a what it is they can do that the others can't, or won't? Seeing a batch of their primers around here in Cda, maybe Beretta is pushing them to make their stuff easier to get now?

Looks more like a type of rebated boat tail. I'd like to get
some sample 7mm's for testing, if bullets are sold separately ??

I guess I am missing your point, but Nosler has had a partition bullet for years also. Maybe if they put a tipped bullet as RWS has done it would compare.

Not sure what you are saying, nosler has the accubond and accubond long range now to cover areas outside the tried and true partition. What cant they do that rws is doin?

I believe a tipped partition style bullet is the point

Maybe but even the h mantel isnt a full partition. Atleast from the cross section pics i see. I dont see why nosler would change a popular design. Nosler has several tipped bullets, with the bonded ones keeping jacket and core together like a partition, what else is needed? Just my opinion.

RWS = Expensive ???

Looks like it's not for handloaders but only loaded ammo in a handful of cartridges.

I have RWS 7.62x39 hunting and target ammo as well as their shotgun Brenneke slugs for rifled barrels. They make great stuff that's for sure

I see that the bullet is nickel plated. I once got nickel particles embedded in my sizing die from sizing nickel plated cases. Had to use a lot of elbow grease to get it cleaned out. Since then I have avoided the stuff. Do you guys feel it could cause a problem in the bore of a rifle by embedding itself like it did in my die.
