ThanksParts are hard to get.. think about that now.. i had one.. it shot ok.. but i got rid of it..
Thanks for the info !!They are great rifles, most shoot very well, but like all target rifles, there is a bell curve, some are going to shoot above their pay grade, some on par and some not. The triggers are world class, the stock is not exactly the greatest for BR. If I was buying, I would want to shoot it first. I have 2, one is good as anyone could expect, the other one, has it’s days.
Totally understand that. Just like old guns for some reasonProbably should realize anything you’re looking at has been around for decades.
Most have been through countless hands with ample opportunity for mistreatment so unless this comes from single long term ownership or you have provenance….. I’d be very careful.
I know they don’t get a lot of credit but I am a fan of the H&R m12. Great gunsI like them as well and I have a pretty fair collection of older target rifles. Now if I were going to a match with money involved, I would be taking one of my 52D’s. I like shooting most of my older rifles. Like I mentioned before, there are some that shoot better than others, I have 4 52D’s, two of them are my go to rifles for serious shooting. Now, for fun matches, I will use about any of them, hard to choose sometimes, because I like them all. Remington 40X’s, the Suhls, BSA International MKIV, Valmet, Kimber 82G, and Remington 540X.
Personally, if I were limited to buying one or two, it would be a 52D or a 40X although the Martini is loads of fun to shoot.
I like them because they are great for those who like to tinker. weak link on these is the barrel some are loose and some shoot great.I know they don’t get a lot of credit but I am a fan of the H&R m12. Great guns
I agree. Those triggers work greatI like them because they are great for those who like to tinker. weak link on these is the barrel some are loose and some shoot great.
but put a little pin in the correct spot on the trigger and you can get a great BR quality trigger
