I had a 22 CM built you guys that have shot your rifles is 43 grains of Hodges powder ok in most of your rifles or too hot or not a problem.

That seems rather hot… Peterson brass Company did a load development with max pressures. Here’s what they had to say.

Ok thanks guys I’m using lapua 6 CM brass which is hard to find. I have 100 new pieces of brass and still looking so I’m good for awhile may have to use 6.5 CM brass since I neck down and turn my brass anyways.

I have seen 41 lock a bolt shut with old alpha, so you really really really need to do some research based on the exact type of brass that you’re using. You may be able to run more than that, or you may have to run considerably less. It depends on the brand and batch of brass. A chronograph and carefully monitoring pressure are important when working with something new.

There’s probably more bad load data on the web for the 22 creed than there are for the next 3 things combined. Be careful.

I'm loading 43.2 gr of H4350 in Lapua and Starline brass with 75gr ELD-M's.

I found 6.5 staball to be a better powder than h4350 for 88’s and 90’s.
