If you had to choose why would you go with the Creedmoor? If I had to pick, it would be the Creedmoor. Would I get one? No thanks, I have an Autotrickler v4. I couldn't afford it, but still got it! No regrets.
I would get the Fx-120i or a good balance beam scale and skip the headache of inferior electronic scales. If you had to choose why would you go with the Creedmoor?
Steve ... Hordany is not synonymous with precision. The Creedmoor scale is a good value for the price. However, as you can see by most of the responses, most bite the bullet and by the FX-120i. It is medical grade scale and reads down to 2 hundredths of a grain which is about 1 kernel depending on the extruded powder. Buy once..... cry once..... in this case.Considering both of these scales.......any advice on which one to get?
Thanks,
Steve
I dont know the Hornady, but maybe unfair, but most of their product is not " synonymous with precision"If you had to choose why would you go with the Creedmoor?
Thank you for your response. I see the logic behind getting one over the other.I dont know the Hornady, but maybe unfair, but most of their product is not " synonymous with precision"
(Thanks Ruger15151). I'm not saying "useful" if you are just reloading for hunting or plinking, but if you are loading for precision, get something better. I have a scale similar to the Creedmoor and cost around the same. It's great for weighing stuff, sorting cases and checking bullets etc. But for powder...bite the bullet and get an Fx120. You can add the V4 later, when you find out that loading on a digital scale is slow ( maybe even slower than a beam scale!).
No attention AFTER you get all shop lights changed, keep cell phones away, use anti-static mats, granite surface plates, and power conditioning equipment.I put in another vote for the Fx-120i. Solid machine that seldom needs attention.
To give my experience I would say the Creedmoor Sports TRX925 over Hornady.Considering both of these scales.......any advice on which one to get?
Thanks,
Steve
