Actually (if that is your new EJ-54D2) the third decimal counts by 0.005 grains (low range).
It's pretty close to one count per granule of SB6.5 ball powder.
A FEW counts per kernel of Varget.

How about 139 counts per kernal of Varget? :)

If I had to pick, it would be the Creedmoor. Would I get one? No thanks, I have an Autotrickler v4. I couldn't afford it, but still got it! No regrets.

Considering both of these scales.......any advice on which one to get?
Thanks,
Steve
Steve ... Hordany is not synonymous with precision. The Creedmoor scale is a good value for the price. However, as you can see by most of the responses, most bite the bullet and by the FX-120i. It is medical grade scale and reads down to 2 hundredths of a grain which is about 1 kernel depending on the extruded powder. Buy once..... cry once..... in this case.

If you had to choose why would you go with the Creedmoor?
I dont know the Hornady, but maybe unfair, but most of their product is not " synonymous with precision"
(Thanks Ruger15151). I'm not saying "useful" if you are just reloading for hunting or plinking, but if you are loading for precision, get something better. I have a scale similar to the Creedmoor and cost around the same. It's great for weighing stuff, sorting cases and checking bullets etc. But for powder...bite the bullet and get an Fx120. You can add the V4 later, when you find out that loading on a digital scale is slow ( maybe even slower than a beam scale!).

Thank you for your response. I see the logic behind getting one over the other.

Choking up the coin for the FX120 is worth it in the long run, way better with the drifting issues than the cheaper scales, once you've used it a bit, you'll be glad you did it, and won't consider the hole in the pocketbook anymore. All depends what you really want to achieve, and how bad your OCD level bugs you about it, it can help in both dept's.

I have not had any problems with cell phones right next to my FX or needed any anti static mats, granite surface or power conditioning equipment. I havent noticed any issues around fluorescent lights either. Maybe I’m doing something wrong. IDK but the fx120 is pretty good.

The Creedmoor is a strain gage unit that resolves well and drifts a bit but no leveling feet and a cheap ass wind shield.

I agree with JFrank.
My Fx120i is solid, even though it is directly below a twin tube 8 foot fluorescent fixture that is hanging low, and my cell phone is in my pocket when I load. I have never had a problem.
The bench it is on has a 1 thick plywood top, and it is lagged into the concrete foundation, so it doesn't move.

To give my experience I would say the Creedmoor Sports TRX925 over Hornady.
I purchased the 925 scale around two years ago (when the price was under $300) and have found it to be a very accurate and reliable scale. The one caveat is that it is slower to respond than either of my two FX120i scales.
