Are you pushing them at a pretty high velocity? Over 3100?It shouldn't be an issue.
My experience is with a 22" 7.5t Krieger in 223AI.
I have shot them in a 22BR with a 7-twist barrel. No issues, just small groups.Would be shooting from a .223 wylde bolt rifle. Is a 7.5 twist too fast for this bullet?
The 53grn V-Max bullet is my 1st choice in my 8-Twist 22 DASHER with a .025" FB. I have shot that bullet over 4000fps with no issues however, backed the load down to a 3916fps to achieve a lower SD.I have shot them in a 22BR with a 7-twist barrel. No issues, just small groups.
I should add that I watched Dave clean them out on mounds. His rifle shoots those 53vmax's very well. If Dave's been there, there is carnage on the ground. We had 3 Urbanrifleman Wilson 7tw barrels out there between 3 of us, all shooting 53vmax bullets and popping pdogs.
I'm JEALOUS 'Cause, I'm stuck with, 50 gr V-Maxes, in my 1-14 twist,. Til' I can "Finish off" this, .22-250 Barrel !DGD6mm hit his first pops one and done--I threw so much dirt on them they thought I was working to bury them alive
After previous year with 50 Vmax the 53's really showed me something--they are the way to go
why so slow? i am running 3,600 in my factory 26" 223 (non ackley) with n133..223AI
