Are you pushing them at a pretty high velocity? Over 3100?

Even if you're pushing them 3200, which from an AR is going to be faster then most unless the barrel is really long, with a 7.5tw that's just a little over 300K bullet RPM so you should be fine. Of course there's always exceptions. For instance if your barrel has some wear on it and the throat is a little rough it could cause bullet failure issues.
The only real way to know is load some up and give them a try.

URBANRIFLEMAN is right! His 7 twist ISSF chamber that I bought to send the heavy stuff LOVED 53 Vmax, N133 powder--at 3250 FPS give or take in a 7 twist those pills were screaming RPM by the math but the rifle was pure Hell on PD's --My long shot with the 53's was a hill side that we cleaned off ranges from 480-510--those were not easy or all first hits but under 450 it slayed them--The closer shots inside say 350 could not stand the 53 spinning that hard --it unzipped them!
The barrel did not copper up and cleaned easy as pie! Even jumping like they did in that long throat--No issue--they shot as good as 53's have ever done for me--The 53g Vmax fights the wind way better than the 50 or 55 in my experience--way better

DGD6mm hit his first pops one and done--I threw so much dirt on them they thought I was working to bury them alive

I have shot them in a 22BR with a 7-twist barrel. No issues, just small groups.

The 53grn V-Max bullet is my 1st choice in my 8-Twist 22 DASHER with a .025" FB. I have shot that bullet over 4000fps with no issues however, backed the load down to a 3916fps to achieve a lower SD.

What speed does the 53 seem to like?
My 22BR is a 1-12” and the Badrock rifle is a 1-7.7/7.5. Those two have digested a lot of 40 Vmax and BK’s. I see the 40’s doing pretty good out to 350ish, after that the “wander” a fair bit. I shot some 60 grain Vmax, the flew good but not the splat factor I like, even in close.

I like the 53 vm out of my 18" 1 in 8. Suppressed you can still hear the "pop" (prairie dog) out past 200 yards, the Sierra 55 bk is the same.

I'm JEALOUS 'Cause, I'm stuck with, 50 gr V-Maxes, in my 1-14 twist,. Til' I can "Finish off" this, .22-250 Barrel !
After 300 - 350 Yards, the Sage Rats, ARE,.. pretty SAFE with, the 50's !

why so slow? i am running 3,600 in my factory 26" 223 (non ackley) with n133.
