Do you think felons will be affected at all?

Maryland. lol

"Gun owners in Maryland would be required to buy at least $300,000 in liability insurance or forfeit their ability to carry a firearm under a new bill."

Do you think there will be legislation that makes committing a violent felony with a firearm, without insurance, a crime? Or is this type of legislation just for people who want to protect themselves from criminals?

No, I don't think there will be a law prohibiting committing a crime w firearm, if you don't have insurance.

People in the US need to wake up, put down the cell phone, turn off the TV and look around.

We're being conned into believing a whole bunch of crap because it sounds good and reasonable because of the way it's being presented.

Let's look at this proposed law as a very tiny example. Vilify law enforcement. Cut the budget for law enforcement. Use every available means to make self-protection cost prohibitive.

Sounds insane, right? Well there's a reason for all this. They want socialism and fascism. And they realize the best possible strategy for achieving that is to create a situation that is so unlivable that people will clamor for ANY improvement especially when it's phrased in such a way it sounds nice and repeated a thousand times.

Think it can't happen? I've news for you. It's already started.

For a long period of time carry laws have been on the books personally I have not followed them all. I was a military contractor with a weapon in my back pack. Verbally given a pass so your personal level of defense is up to you.

I remember reading about the Reichstag Fire... I think right now we're living in a Reichstag Inferno... courtesy of the dems.

And in modern day we allow people like this to have a say. Got to love progress.
Seriously... is this Joe Biden? Do you have a clue what this thread is about? I thought by your PM trashing me for not being a contributor, you would have deemed this thread unworthy of your posts.... but here you are. lol And making another post that makes no sense.

I know there is US Law Shield and other companies, but it's not insurance. Who would even want to insure concealed carriers? Seems like even concealed carry insurance companies would also be sued. Who knows?
I don’t understand how people can sue a gun manufacturer for providing a product that works perfectly for its intended purpose. It destroyed what it was pointed at.

The last thing the liberals want is a situation where citizens defend themselves successfully anyway. They want to be proud of their legislation that considers the cost of everything else that gets damaged but disregards the citizens defending themselves in the first place.

I'm fairly confident at this point that nothing you have to say to me will make any sense, your PMs are ridiculous and you kind of need help. lol I'll go ahead and try that Ignore option. Good Day Sir!! lol

Felons don't obey the laws now....

This law isn't aimed at felons.

Felons can not legally possess a firearm to begin with. It's aimed at legal concealed carry holders because someone wants to make concealed carry permits as unobtainable as possible.

Your firearms possession rights are being attacked. Make it as expensive as possible is the only goal. Then they'll turn around and use the fees to hire more public defenders for felons.

This sort of legislation is why I moved out of Maryland for good 21 years ago. Most of the Maryland politicians, especially the Democrats, just don't get it.

Political theater.

And unconstitutional. Hard to imagine that somebody would be lawfully forced to, say, have a certain amount of wealth prior to being allowed to seek legal counsel, or be forced to pay extortion fees prior to being allowed to speak or assemble. IMO, flatly unconstitutional on its face and at its core.

And then, there's this -- Currently, despite every law, code, regulation and ordinance on the books, violent felons disregard all of that and find a way to carry their chosen weaponry. They ignore it all, already.

I highly doubt some new piece of paper will change what violent felons actually do or what they're capable of doing.

End result for violent felons: no change.

End result for the unwashed (you, me and every other upstanding person): yet another "hook" by which to hang people when they don't comply with edicts from the rulers who disregard constitutional law.

Maybe in Maryland they could use the fees to reward felons that don't commit a crime each month with a monthly stipend... I heard Oreilly talking about a city that is going to start paying kids to go to school. All it takes is money for dems to solve problems... but then again, dems tried to end poverty in the 60s, turns out they made it worse. At least they acknowledged it, but then they doubled down on it.... and here we are.

If dems were able to provide any solutions to crime and poverty, then what would they have to run on in elections?... only racism I guess.
