Al Nyhus was in need of some single screw dovetail rings to make scope stops for himself. I had an extra set and sent them out to him a few weeks ago.

Fast forward to this morning and I discovered a package on my front porch. Inside were two very nicely done scope stops that I was not expecting as well as this cool cocktail smoker kit! Just add bourbon...which I will.






I've been very fortunate to make some friends here that are thoughtful, helpful and full of great insight. Al has helped me on a personal level in ways that he may not even realize. All the shooting stuff is the icing on the cake. I'm thankful for my long distance mentor and friend. Not ashamed to say it. Thanks for being the real deal. End of sappy post.

My son was gifted a bottle of Knob Creek Smoked Maple. It was not
well received. He's going to try and use it for a meat marinade. Lot's
of recipes out there.

Some like chocolate and some like vanilla. When I stay with Randy and Donna Robinett, we enjoy what Stan Ware called The Black Juice....good brandy with a splash of cola.
