What the heck it works for me !!
Thanks Short.  As I posted above, this is the 4th barrel that I know of and when I had the Douglas barrel put on the threads were all chased and cleaned, the action squared up etc.  Should spin right off !!  Har Har  I just tried again with rosin and a hair dryer, nope.  The Wheeler uses only two bolts and the wood blocks.  The barrel is spinning in the wood blocks and has burnished or glazed the wood.  If I had a lathe I could get the wood bore close to barrel size to increase the surface clamping area but I do not.   I'll let a pro give it a simple pull and bingo.  Defeat is just that.  A battle, not the war %$^#
