Please don't confuse this revolver with the 627 PC Pro with the 4" barrel of the same profile. They are different animals.

Is that good or bad? I believe a 5 inch revolver is the perfect size for a 357
IMO, it's good as well. This was my second revolver with a 5" barrel, the first being a 629 Classic several decades ago. For me they feel better in the hand and swing better if shooting steel. There are other differences between the 2 guns other than barrel length as well. Front sight blade, extra set of grips, and more hand fitting on the 5" Performance Center gun, than the 627 Pro Series that does have a few Performance Center parts installed, but not the same hand fitting, and there is the price difference as well.

Good question Joe!

I appreciate the explanation. I'd buy this one if I had the extra coin laying around. I have a 686 with a 4" barrel and would much rather have this one.
