Nightforce optics discount for veterans

Yes, Nightforce does give a substantial discount to Active Duty and Veterans. I have purchased straight from them a couple of times and have been very satisfied. It's worth providing them the required information for the discount.
 
Well, I got a same day response to my email request and it's a pretty substantial savings.
 
Thinking back many times, my take is with the 3-4 year enlistment and I would have been out before our involvement in "Nam" got hot and heavy.

Thought of fate and the issues of life decisions I have been involved in over the decades. Learned that's why they make whisky.
 
I've purchased scopes from NF, Sightron, and Leupold under their military discount program with substantial savings. I think NF and Sightron were 30% and Leupold 25% check their web site to be sure. Shipping was very reasonable too.

I sent a picture of my Retired ID card with my SSAN redacted and they accepted it, no questions asked.
 
After night force military discount. I could buy online cheaper.. And as a grunt Vietnam sucked.
 
I don’t understand why more sites don’t use id.me. It’s good enough for the government.

Home Depot recently stopped accepting VA id’s at the register.

I would rather send my va id than my dd 214 which has my social security number on it but I often times pass up a discount for sites that require it or some other ridiculous registration (other than id.me). Who knows how they store that info anyways.
 
The NF discount is very nice. I don’t think you’re supposed to share the price list but it is well worth the time to apply for it.

The downside is your optics/products are made to order. I think I waited 60 days for a NF comp. And I’m at like 9 weeks for a 40MOA pic rail. But the amount of savings is worth the wait

I am old had a Service Number US 123789
 
Maybe I am a little to aggravated at the whole thing.

I am not active military, I am not retired military. I was dragged away kicking and screaming some 56 years ago. I was drafted. My Service Number prefix was US. I did my two years and never asked them for anything since.

The only thing I have that shows my service is my DD-214 and some pictures of me in uniform.

I was never issued a card, an ID, or anything else.

My DD -214 was good enough for Lowe’s and Home Depot.

I guess I can write to the Dept of the Army and see about getting some type of ID card. Or maybe the Veterans Administration.

You know what goes over like a fart in church? A Youtube channel where someone like Larry Vickers shows you what they used and how they made their gear from stuff they bought at a hardware store and dive shop and killed bad guys all day and all night. A lot of content spured by sponsors and not by actual benifit of mod's either. Toss money at every problem and never mind skill, hard work, persistance, mentoring, reloading etc....A lot of stupid content because you need to make money by having constantly new content never mind if it actual helps the people watching said content.

Sure I am a Fud for sure but I can actualy shoot, hunt, live off the land and do so with out needing to whip out my credit card for trendy garbage that is about as needed as blinker fluid or fuel injected lug nuts!

The hobby is shooting and hunting not shopping.

Look at what the most prolific snipers and hunter over the last 500 years have done and what they did it with then look at all the modern experts that have not accomplished 1/1000th of the human or animal kills. Never mind that they have technology that is vastly supior. Never mind they have jet's and Jeeps to travel the world not boats, trains and beasts of burden. Vastly supiror bullets, brass, powder, optics, machining, and rifles.

Spend less time on the internet and more time in the world practicing your sport and hobby! Get out into the wilderness! Read books on the great hunters instead of internt forum!

No, you don't really make much if any money from YouTube.

Using a quality scope isn't something that precludes your ability to accomplish tasks at hand. Nor does past success of old equipment make it somehow better than new gear. We progress as a society. I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish with your very off-topic rant here.

A lot of people don't want the liability of being blamed for a leak as I understand it. I qualify for a lot of different discount programs and an email from my .gov account with my name on it is all they require. There are some third-parties like IDMe or govx that will verify credentials with companies, too.
