With virgin Lapua brass (LRP) I am getting .291-.292 for loaded case NK dia.

What are you getting for a loaded NK dia with other brass brands?

Thanks,

-TH

I'm getting, .2925 over, the 130 gr ELD-M's with,.. Peterson Brass.
The slightly thicker, Peterson Brass, works GREAT, just use, 1/2 to, a full Grain,.. LESS Powder.
But, I just Bought, 100 New, Lapua 6.5 creed. Brass for, $115,.. to try.

Interesting. We are all in the same neighborhood on NK dia. I cannot drop a bullet into my fired cases. The bullet won’t even get started into the NK. I can pretty much load it again without touching the neck. Is anybody else experiencing the same thing?

As far as I know chamber was cut with a SAMI spec reamer but the NK appears to be quite tight. NK dia on a fired piece of brass is .295” which only gives me .0015 clearance on each side.

My Bullet slips nicely back into the case with, no side to side, "Wiggle" room.
Fired case Nk Dia's, Mike .297 Dia from, My Tikka T-3, SS,.. SAMMI Chamber and, very little,.. Soot !

.296-.297 case mouth- base of neck +0.002 SAAMI. So 0.001 spring back yields 0.295 fired. Is the case mouth getting slightly out of round during extraction, making it tough to slip a bullet in? Have you tried to brush the inside of the neck on a fired case and then slip fit a bullet? Or is the chamber producing out of round necks? Maybe a light polishing ?

The problematic symptom that I am having is flyers and experiencing huge groups at 1k. Gun grouped well at 600yds but not at 1k. I noticed that the fired NKs were really tight. I’ll try NK turning some brass to see if it helps.
