When I was growing up I couldn't afford crap, the closest thing I could get was the Mark XXII with the rosewood forend. It's pissing me off thinking of how I sold it for only 500 bucks now that I'm looking up current values

I have to comment on the stock. Certainly a nice piece of wood. However, the stock pattern is more reminiscent of the Fajen/Winslow style that an authentic Weatherby pattern. ???

Maybe the angle of the camera but it is factory all the way. Personally I was stunned at the grade of wood, I've only seen one other Weatherby with this select grain.
