6 ARC bolt gun loads

Anyone find some good 6 ARC bolt gun reloads? I ve got a good 80 gr Blitz bullet load with H4895 but have struggled getting anything consistent with 95-108 gr bullets.

I ve tried CFE223, Varget, H4895 along with 95 gr TMK 95 Berger classic Hunter, 100 TGK, 105 AMax and 108 Eldm but nothing that just stands out and gives repeatable accuracy.

My 80 gr load is 28.3 grs H4895 and it does 2925 fps. Would really like to find a heavier bullet load with a high BC bullet to use for LR steel playing and if I decide to hunt deer or smaller game.

FYI, rifle is 22” Howa Mini Carbon.

Try some 8208. I'd start around 25.5 and probably end up at 27.0 or so. I'm shooting a 243 LBC at 500 and it has a bit more capacity using a bit more powder.

Also appreciate input on seating depths… jump, jam, etc.

My magazine will allow 2.36” or so but it s a long way to the lands vs Saami 2.260 !!!

108 Eldm touches at 2.350”
100 TGK touches at 2.370”
95 TMK touches at 2.380” ( at lands it’s barely in case!)
105 AMax touches at 2.310”
Didn’t measure the 95 Berger Classic as I just loaded 5 at 2.230” (friend had them at his bench) and shot pretty good; like 5/8”-3/4”.

Hornady has some good published bolt gun data. My phone won't let me link it.
Google "6mm arc bolt gun data" and the Hornady data is right there. They also have AR load data. The bolt data is hotter.
I have used this data as a reference point for my 6 Grendel. Very helpful.

Benchmark has always been a very accurate powder. Not super fast,

If you want great speed and accuracy I would look for Hodgdon's LEVERevolution.

If you already have some of the powders in the hornady data linked up top then start with that. Most of the time you can use what you already have and be pleasently happy with the accuracy.

I find Berger bullets more often than not need to be seated out farther before they touch the lands. I can't speak about their Classic Hunter bullets as I only use their Hybrid, VLD and VLD Hunt. in 6mm 7mm and 30cal.

Another vote for 8208 and Benchmark. I would also look at Power Pro Varmint from Alliant. Produces the best accuracy and speed in my Grendel - - but I have not tried it in a small 6mm, mostly due to the very high cost down this way.

Amazing how saami standardizing something brings a lot more attention to such an easy wildcat. It's a good thing. I'm not complaining but a 22, 6mm and a 30 Grendel are all three excellent little cartridges in their own right, saami or not. A 30 Grendel in an AR shoots freakin awesome and it works great as a hog or deer cartridge with about 125 gr bullets. Double taps on a hog or deer are just plain impressive with one. I've been shooting one in BR since 2007. It'll hang right with a 30BR too. I actually like it a tad better but the difference on target is whichever one has the better bullets and barrel will be the better of the two. The Grendel just fits a ppc bolt so it makes for an easy conversion to a score rifle from a group rifle. Otherwise, flip a coin between the two.

Try some AR Comp or TAC...in your reloads. Its killer in a Grendel too.

I loaded some speer 100gr btsp in front of 29.5 gr of varget WSR Primer COL 2260 from a 22" uintah bolt AR upper and got a 3/16" 5 shot group @ 100 yds. Not sure of the velocity somewhere around 2800fps. Also got a 1 hole group with 87gr bthp with aa 2015 but lost my data. LVR works great for bullets heavier than 90gr. Good luck.

Did well with 108 GR Elite hunter & LVR 29.4 was the sweet spot in my rifles 22" Pacnor. 22" Savage Axis & 22" Howa, No joy w 108 gr ELDX & LVR.

!08 gr ELDX Did well W PP2000 though. As I recall there was a wide charge weight range that did well w the PP2000.
Did will with 87 gr Hammer Absolute Hunter & IMR 8208. Also did the 90 gr CX over CFE223 if that is any help.

Anyone have any data on 62gr Berger varmit grenade. I've used up around 70 bullets and can't get under an inch for a 5 shot group.
