Mod 7 Rem bolt knob conversion

My go to rifle has a factory Rem bolt on a worked over Mod7 action. I would like to have the handle threaded to accept a larger knob. Is this risky incase of breakage? If not then any recommends on how to contact who knows how to safely do this? Thx. Or better to find an overlay knob kit?

I read somewhere that a smith while milling the knob to then thread is, found a hollow in the forging. I have done two Rem 700 bolts. I didn't mill, I ground them round and threaded. It's a little tricky shaping the knob to get the angle of the shaft how you want it, rounding the shaft to the proper size for threading. If you have a good eye, go slow, it is doable. Like a barber they can cut it shorter, but they can't cut it longer!

If you don't mind shipping your bolt, for the price I don't think you could go wrong with either of the two listed here by others. It's not that complex of a job, but it can go south real quick in the wrong hands. Both listed appear to do excellent work.
