Ball powder

A couple guys on the benches next to me were arguing about powders for semi automatics…..one guy had a short barreled .ar10 maybe 16-18” long that wouldn’t shoot and the other guy was telling him to use ball powder, Said the Impulse was faster and would work better also said the stick powder wasn’t completely burning, before exiting the barrel………I kept my mouth shut and finished up and left………

It depends on the powder not the shape or size of the kernels. Some ball powder is fast and some is slow. Accurate 2230 is WAY faster than Ramshot Hunter, both are ball powder.
