Well I went to the range yesterday and simply had some fun with the 6.8 spc PSA upper AR15 type receiver I bought to burn up the 200 rds of 6.8 spc I loaded up almost ten years ago to the day. After the normal sorting of things out with a new upper it started shooting pretty good and I found out that H322 still works after ten years of both being warm and being stored at just above freezing for that period of time.
This was a simple will this shoot and is the ammo still any good kind of thing at 100 yards with using just a 2" sticky dot for the target. I started at 50 yards and then went to 100 yards, after two rds it was in the dot and and put the next 7 rds in the dot as well. That was all the time I had yesterday and I called it good for the first time out with that upper.
I had planned to just pull those bullets but the complete upper was on sale at $359.00 at PSA and free shipping, (the deal of the day) there and this was a chance to see if those reloads would still shoot. It was a heck of lot more fun than sitting home pulling bullets and renewed my love for that caliber of rifle.
If you like the .277 caliber take a look, you might just have as much fun as I did.
