Accurate 4350 Compared to IMS and H

In my, & others experience, the currently produced A4350 is notably slower than IMR or H4350... much closer to IMR4831 & almost as slow as SW4350. The original powder from way back when Accurate was young may be quicker. Unsure which type you have.

There are a few threads on site about the 4350s. The 1st one I came up with is here:

I agree with 358WCF. I bought some A4350 2 years show when H4350 and IMR4350 were no where to be found. I did get one accurate load worked up with it, but it was slow.

If you have a target FPS that your barrel likes and Crono will tell you how much/less powder you will need to get the FPS your looking for of A4350.

I've used the H version exclusively for years, but going through my notes, here's what I have with the 180 Hornady SP in the .30-06:
54 H4350 = 2709
56 AA4350 = 2704 MAX

What others say is what I also noticed.

I used all 3 in a 243win with 100 gr bullets for hunting rifle like 10 years ago so my info might be obsolete.
I'll give you my finding from 10 years ago.
22" barrel...

42.5 gr H-4350 = 2724 fps
43 gr IMR-4350 = 2,734
43 gr of AA-4350 = 2,763

Hodgdon's reloading center had data for all 3 powders since now they own AA and Ramshot...
Here is a few screenshots from Hodgdon's data...

6.5 Creed 140 ELDM Lapua SP Brass CCI450

41.2gr H4350 2770 FPS
43.5gr A4350 2754 FPS + seating depth issues due to compressed load.

I would avoid this powder for 6.5x47 its too slow.
