Stock Painting***full paint job pics added

Damn Brett you knocked it out of the park!!! Ron’s a good dude. I shoot steel matches with him in Texas couple times a year. he dipped his toe in Fclass at the New Mexico regional match a few weeks ago I believe he won the unclassified division. Also I finally cut that piece of walnut I’ve been telling you about.

Thanks brother, give a holler when you get a chance. I'm working on a maple stock with a really light center board, currently at 6 coats of dye.

What spray gun do you use?
Walcom Carbonair 1.2 clear coat gun for finish.
Sata SR 1.2 mini jet for all things automotive finish including candies.
POS Black Widow from Harbor Freight for my polyester primer. This is soon to be replaced with a Walcom 1.7, and @ $170 it's, $100 cheaper than HF special and 5x the gun.

Thank you everyone for your support and compliments.
Kind of surprised nobody asked to see the complete stock.
We failed, guaranteed everyone on the thread was wanting to see the completed stock. Kind of like a when a really pretty girl walks by and everyone just stands there googled eyed and when she’s gone everyone asks “why didn’t you say hI”

I’m glad you post your work now and again, I always look forward to them. I’m glad your going at full time now, pretty cool!

I ran out of superlatives for my friend Brett’s outstanding gift a long time ago.
My best friend was a self taught painter with talents beyond comprehension, I didn’t understand it then and still do not grasp the vision held by these artist’s.

Nice work my friend.

The worst part about Brett doing a stock for you is knowing it’s going to be about 1000X times better than you could ever hope for and having to find the patience to wait for it, LOL. In Japan they consider some people a National Treasure for their mastery of their skill. Need I say more..
Here’s a little teaser Brett sent me from last weekend. Brett can post more when he’s ready.

I totally agree with you about patience. Waiting on a stock with his paint on it can be hard on the brain. LOL.
