A test of Winchester's customer service.

I bought 400 rounds of high velocity 22 long rifle ammunition. In my Marlin rifle and Browning handgun 1 cartridge in 5 fails to fire. I cleaned both firearms and checked them. Again the ratio of failures to fire, Remington, CCI and American Eagle ammunition do not exhibit this issue. Today I sent a communication to Winchester let us see what happens.

Yes, will be interesting to see what they say. Be prepared for 1) nothing(like my effort to contact a well know bullet company to complain about undersized .357 cast bullets) or 2) what do you expect for the price you paid? :)

Their virgin brass cases also leave a lot to be desired with respect to the number fatal defects rendering them unloadable.

I shoot thousands of CCI standard velocity 22 rimfire ammo a year and have never had a misfire. Hope I just didn't jinx myself! :(

Bought a bunch of ammo made by Olin corp. Had some misfires with it and communicated with the makers of the ammo(Olin, but packaged in another brands box). Took about two weeks, but they agreed to replace the ammo, which is what they did. I am talking ammo for our JR shooters program, so quite a bit. They paid shipping both ways.
Have to give Olin Corp. an A+++ for their customer service.

I gave up years ago , it's CCI or nothing anymore for rimefire.... Last bag of Winchester brass I bought looked like it had been shoveled off a concrete floor and bagged up , the worst brass I have ever bought...

FWIW I bought a box of 223 Hornady 53 vmax superformance and about 5 failed to fire. Hornady didn't do anything. Wanted me to mail them back. That gun has only failed to fire 1 round out of several thousand aside from that. I also consider winchester the worst ammo on the market for every cartridge made including rimfire, centerfire rifle, handgun, and shotgun. It was shotgun ammo that made me hate winchester. I have an sx3 that was recalled for the stock finish. I will say the turnaround was fast and I was happy with that CS.

I tried several times to get them to replace 22 mag ammo that split the necks on every case, and were hard to eject. Never even got a response, to my inquiry.

Winchester M-22 ammo I bought about 5 years ago had what appears to be a double charge and blew out the extractor and magazine of my Remington 597. I sent a picture of the case and an explanation of the issue to Winchester and got no response. That was it for me with ANY Winchester rimfire ammo!

I have contacted the investor relations a couple of times in the past when I was not receiving a responce. I received calls back in fairly quickly in both instances.
