And also to note, you can get an action for less money from PTG which they will blueprint also.
All that said, I have no experience with the new Faxon bolt action. I do use their barrels and other parts, but have no experience whatsoever with the new bolt actions.
PTG has several blueprinted actions they sell as well.

Wetherby managed 9, A mate has a "Lakelander", made in Finland that has 6 - interesting rifle - magazine like a Savage 99 and the worst trigger in the Southern hemisphere. But I can cope with 2 or 3.2 rows of 3 lugs... Interesting to get even contact on everything, I'm sure.
Hi Feller, think you might have missed the key word in @LVLAaron post, "even" contact. I was an avid young hunter when Weatherby brought out their famous 9 locking lugs Mark 5. Had to have one of those in a 300 Weatherby Magnum. After all, 9 lugs had to be at least 7 times better than two, right? I had first thought so also, but look at the custom rem 700 clone market. There are many 2 lug clones that shoot just fine. I don't think lugs in themselves tell the whole story.2 rows of 3 lugs... Interesting to get even contact on everything, I'm sure.
Totally agree. I remember reading an article some years ago about safari shooters in Africa. The story goes that Americans turn up with large Wetherbys, which, due to the heat, overpressure and fail to extract.. They were also considered too noisy - not the discharge, but the "ping" of a round coming out of the mag, attracting the game's attention.Hi Feller, think you might have missed the key word in @LVLAaron post, "even" contact. size of my little finger, kicked like a double assed mule, and I couldn't hit my hat with it at 300yds. A gunsmith friend of mine laughed when I told him what I was into, ask me how much I had shot it and I told him probably 3 boxes of shells worth. Gunsmith said that was enough to show me something and pulled the bolt out, showed me the three out of 9 shiny lugs that were making contact. Won't ever shoot well he says but this one does and handed me a well used 1950 mod 70 in a 300 H&H, says he has a Dr. that's looking for one of those like yours. Says I'll give you this mod 70 and 200$ for the Weatherby and all three of us will be better off and I know at least two of us were. Still have that old mod 70 and it will still, even with my old 78 year old eyes shoot a 4" 3 shot group out of a pickup window at 300yds, long story but your comment brought back memories.... John
Well, we have more knowledge today that we can put to use. Is CNC really better? I don't own any CNCs and plan to use manual machines. To me it seems that the lockup has magnitudes more to do with how the rifle is going to fire. But I do wonder whether, with today's CNC machining, that 6 or 9 lugs couldn't be made to work?

I'll let you know the outcome of this project.Actions to look at:
Kauger arms (amazing actions) and customer sevice.
Mack bro’s evo
Bighorn origin
ARC CDG
Tikka donar
Rem donar
Trued rem700 from PTG
Plus probably another 5 for under $1,000 that I’m missing.
I don’t mean to be mean, and I wish you all the success you want. If that’s what you want, then that is perfect. But that seems like a recipe for mediocre performance to me.
