New daystate pcp airgun

And buy a lot of scopes!
Fake News. In our group of about 25 Springer shooters there has been 1 problem with an offbrand scope unrelated to recoil. It was warranted a year ago, no other problem. If you took the time to actually reasearch and talk to the scope companies they all say.... Springers, no problem. Actually several seemed insulted I inquired. The majority of the bench shooters both rimfire and centerfire I know have sent high end name scopes back for repair, often for not holding point of aim. Fake news, try facts. Springer to require discipline and a learning curve, beyond what some want to work at.

I'm with Dusty. I'm sure they're great, but for my application you cannot convince me that a springer would be advantageous, or even competitive.
They are remarkeable. I guess my hang up with them is why not a rimfire Similar results and basically requiring the same skill set. The limitation of Springers is range plus the challange of learning to shoot them.

Ive seen most brands of guns in my days and a daystate is finished as good as the finest. The stock on my red wolf is glass smooth with zero trash or sags like it was sanded and buffed, the entire rifle doesnt even have a machined spot on any metal like they hand polished each piece, the laser engraving you cant even feel, even the wiring and magazines are absolute perfection. I wish they made rimfires or centerfires.
Love my Wolverine 2!

this whole air rifle thing has my interest for sure. i just dont know what one to start with. i also dont know where i would get the high-pressure air tanks filled in my area. i guess i could buy a filling station but there again, i know nothing! Much to learn.

Cost can be intimidating, no reloading or scouring the planet for what RF ammo works is a major thing for me. Air is still free, our illustrious president will probably try and tax that next.
I think a sharp pencil put to it and I doubt it is out of line of a new center fire rifle much if any.

I am/was leaning towards an FX, but Dusty may sway me in another direction.

Start with a quality springer to get your feet wet. I'm happy with my RWS 54 "recoilless" .

What caliber is your 54. Mine is a .22. Indoors it will not hang with my .177 TX200 but I am guessing it might be the caliber not the rifle. Outdoors, I suppose for the same reason, it reverses. Now outdoors the 54 is a .5 gun. The Tx is 1.0 with really good conditions.

Mine is .177 and shoots jsb exact 10.3 best. It shoots 1/4" at 25yd and 3/4" at 50yd if not too windy.
