Our jimmymac, possible new record...

Excellent job Jim! You work hard on your program and are constantly experimenting. Proof positive that good guys do finish first. :) -Al

PS: Now, about that poochy little load....you know it'll never work, right? I even have to give 'ya a pass for using that Commie case lash up! ;)

That is some pretty targets, You and that 6 shooter was dialed in, That will be easy for the record committee !!! Congratulations
I honestly don't know if it's a record or not. I never saw all the targets from @Brad Johnson record two years ago but I hear they were similar. Here's a pic but it doesn't show them all. Maybe Brad will post a better pic. Not sure how they get measured either but the current record is of course a 264 with a stated "avg from center of .07696. UBR uses this method for record purposes only rather than wipeouts due to the different size dot for different calibers. Wipeouts won't work. Both are good guys and deserving of the record. I think they may have been shot on the same range. Is that right Jim or Brad?

I made the headlines! “Blind Squirrel Finds a Nut”. Thanks Mike. The best thing is that the gang over in Braxton County were happy for me. They busted my stones pretty good all afternoon. That is a great group of guys that shoot there. You all should come out and play next month.

I was shooting a 6PPC using 28.9 of N133 and 66gr BT bullets. I have no idea if this will be a record or not. Honestly, I didn’t even know such a thing existed until yesterday. It would be cool if it makes the grade. No matter though. It was a great day. I feel blessed. Here are the targets.
Jimmy I believe you got me on the record. That’s some mighty fine shooting. Congratulations

I’m humbled by this attention. I was going to keep it to myself even though I wanted to show you all my targets. Im not used to the attention since I haven’t had too many days in the sun.

I’ve had a lot of guys reach out to me both here and via text to give me a pat on the back. Shooters are the best people. I’ve met some fine ones along the way. Thanks everybody.

Can you tell us a little more about the rifle ?
Great shooting.

Hal

It’s not a fancy gun. It’s an old school Stiller Viper with an ejector that spent most of its life as a LV PPC. It is is glued into what I believe is an early Kelbly stock.

This gun belonged to my buddy @Dub who sold it to me earlier this year. It was a great gun for him and it has been a lot of fun for me. I converted it to a HV with the help of Al Nyhus and Mike Ezell to tame the beast a bit and I think it was the right call. The gun is really well balanced and rides the bags good even with the big NF 15-55 I put on top. There is thread somewhere in the gunsmithing section that outlines what was done.

Mike Hibbs did the barrel work and it shoots better than me. I’d like to see what a good driver could do with it.
