Life has always been about priorities and decisions. The pressure change probably turned on the bite.

A long time back, it was November and the flounder run was on. The weather was really not cooperating but I went anyway. Thunderstorms in the area. Made the drive, got in the water and made my first cast. Made a nice long cast and was feeling good until about 3 seconds later when I figured out that the line between the rod tip and the water was remaining in the air. Static electricity was not allowing the line to settle. Standing in waist deep water with a carbon fiber lightning rod in your hand makes you pretty uneasy. Probably the shortest fishing trip I have ever been on.

This is another one I had hanging on my cube wall and my refrigerator as a reminder so I don't get stupid again. My buddy saw it and wanted copies. He put a copy on his refrigerator door. Goes on a date. Calls me later that evening. Kinda early for the date to be over. He says "I got good news and bad news" "The bad news is I didn't get laid." I say "what's the good news?" He says "Well, we get back to my house after the movie and dinner. Things are looking promising. She sees the saying on my refrigerator, grabs it, crumbles it up, throws it on the floor then grabs her stuff and stomps out of the house." "Looks like that saying is useful for getting a quick read on a woman." "Saved me a lot of time and money. I put up another copy."
