How deep are primer pockets suppose to be cut. I measured mine and they .131 when I am done with my k&m tool.With a primer seated it set about .012 below the case head. To me that seems a little to deep. I seated a primer in a case that measured .126 thickness and pushed it out and measured the primers thickness and it was .119. It seems to me that .125 to .128 is more practical.

so the primer was SQUISHED 0.007
That means you are putting the primer in too hard.
All of Ken's tools are set a .131"
I had him set mine for .130
fed primers mic avg 0.127-0.128 thick, and my RCBS priming tool seats them about 0.004 under flush.
so they get 0.001-0.002 crush...which is supposed to be perfect :thumb:
If your pocket was .125-.128 deep, that means you would be crushing the primer EVEN MORE!

Not really. Most primer pocket uniformers cut towards the maximum end of SAAMI spec to insure that, given the vagueries of production tolerances from the various manufacturers, all the pockets will be cut to a uniform depth.
As long as you have correct firing pin protrusion and a good firing pin spring it shouldn't be a problem.
My last batch of Lapua, one of the best batches of brass I've ever had, the ubiformer barely removed any metal at all using a Sinclair carbide uniformer.

I agree with Rust. The current lot of Lapua 6BR brass that I'm using my Sinclair uniformer dosen't remove anything at all.
If there are fluctuations after a couple of firings you'll notice some of the residue is removed in some cases and in some cases not so much or none at all. All this means is that the uniformer is doing it's job.....uniforming.

Large Rifle .128" to .132".

Here at Sinclair, we have just come out with a new uniformer that is designed to do a light uniform for the Lapua .220 Russian Brass and the 6BR Brass. It is slightly longer than the standard UN-8001 uniformer and it is slightly smaller in dia. so it does not stick in the tapered pockets of the Lapua PPC & BR cases. The item number is UN-8006 and is $19.50.
