6mm XC

Good question. I have all three in the cupboard, but my 6xc project has ground to a halt. Are you going to post a picture of the new toy?
Thanks JCS

115 uncoated DTACs will make you a happy dude. In all honesty, I cant find a bullet or powder that wont do 1/2 MOA or better in my XC. With the 7.5 twist, the 115 class is double awsome ! For reference, I am running a 7.7 bartlien, 30 inch , 39 grns of H4350, ( Use discretion), fed match primers . 1/4 MOA
Dont know the speed, but I only come up 10.5 MOA from 100 to 600 yards.

I use the uncoated because I clean after every practice. I used the BN coated, but I never got the same consistancy as the uncoated. Probably just personal preference, but the X ring is fearing me more these days.

Depends what bullets you can find at Safari & Outdoor. The 115 Bergers are cheap but not many in stock. Sierras will not let you down.

I have 3 6XC's overall they all shoot under .5 sometimes under .2. I prefer the Berger 105 Hybrids, however I have never been disappointed in the SMK 107's. I used the Berger 105 VLD's with great results, but always worry about seating depth. The Hybrids and the SMK's don't appear to be very sensitive to seating depth. As always there are some here that will disagree, that's my experience.

I have a tactical rifle in the 6XC and my bullet of choice are the 105 A-Max. They are cheap and shoot well for me. The rifle with that bullet will outshoot me. I constantly get 1/4" groups at 100 off the ground on a bipod. Run the bullet over 38-39 Grains of H4350 and you will be happy, happy, happy.

That'd be pretty much my order of suggested bullets, maybe try the new Berger 105 Hybrid too. I use the VLD in my 30" Bartlein 1:7.8 & it's awesome @ 1,000 yards. (Same bullet in my 6HAGAR helped me earn my Master's for XTC, HM for mid-range.)

I'd avoid the Berger 115 in a 1:7.5, it probably won't work too well. (I'm sure somebody will disagree so if you want to try some anyway, PM me & I'll send you some for the postage so you can see for yourself without too big a bite outa your wallet.) The DTAC115 will work great but in my one remaining 6XC the 105 VLD out-performed them.

As to VLD seating depth, I seat 'em either 0.020" off or 0.005" off in either cartridge & they'll shoot X's every time if I'm paying attention when it goes BANG.

My 6 xc likes both Sierra 107's with IMR4831 & Berger 108's with RL19. The 4831 gave me .3" groups, and the RL19 with 108's Berger gave me .4". I believe both can and will do better once I get my oal adjusted better.
