Sightron SIII, possible turret change

I have a Sightron SIII 8-32x56 LRT scope on my M77 MKII VT in 6.5 Creedmoor. For a little backstory, the scope was bought from another member on this forum. It started out life with a 1/8 target dot reticle and 1/8 MOA target turrets. I had the scope sent to Sightron and had them install a MOA-2 reticle, but left the 1/8 MOA turrets.

The other day, I was at the range doing a little long range shooting and the scope ended up messing up with me. I had been getting sub moa groups. Once I dialed the elevation turret up, no more holes in the paper. Dialed it back down and checked at 100 again. Couldn't hit the paper at 100, so something has let loose in the scope. I'm going to send it back in four some warranty work.

Aaaanyway.......I was thinking about having them install some 1/4 moa turrets, but now I don't know if I should spend the money on that or not. With the ballistics app, I just dial x amount of moa and send it. It's not like I'm counting clicks. Just dial 12 moa (or whatever) and go. I'll have the same amount of elevation travel either way. Would my money be wasted on having 1/4 moa turrets installed?

Btw, I just use the rifle for target shooting. No tactical matches or hunting.

Don't let them tell you that your scope it bent. They told me my scope was bent to avoid repairing it under warranty. It got where it wouldn't hold zero.
There's no damage way it's bent what ever mm they had to say. Like you, I had them do a turret change on another scope. I was happy with that one.
Don't let them tell you it's bent from ring damage
I wouldn't think that they would since they've had it in the shop before. They said all was good then. I hope they wouldn't anyway. There's not a ring mark one on it.

Okay, so I never checked to see if they could add the zero stop or not. I decided to leave my 1/8 MOA turrets as well. Sightron received the scope, repaired it and had it back to me in a little over a week. I bought a new Howa action the other day and plan on building a 7 PRC with it. I'll be looking to install a new Sightron on top of it as well.

Been a little time since last post but a question hasn’t been answered so here goes.

I spoke with Sightron a couple days ago about a reticle change and also adding zero stop.

1) they will do a reticle change for $175

2) they will also add their external zero stop to a no zero stop scope for $175. Also, with that add-on the capped turrets are replaced with the much nicer exposed turrets.

As far as turnaround time, they told me about 2 weeks.

Hope this helps.
